Caring for Pupils, Promoting Success

School Council

Our School Council is a group of pupils who have been democratically elected by their peers and given the responsibility to  represents the views of all our pupils. We strongly believe that pupil voice is an important part of our school community. They are also joined by our Head Boy and Head Girl who are voted by our staff.

The School Council work on projects that they feel are important to further improve our community. Over the last couple of year they have ranged from organising charity events, planning and leading assemblies for Friendship and Internet safety weeks and working on projects to enhance our grounds and breaktimes.

This year the school councils challenges will include planning how to help make those who are less fortunate than ourselves to enjoy Christmas a little bit more, thinking about how teachers can continue to make learning exciting, making lunchtimes run smoothly in Upper School, planning and organising our whole school friendship and well being weeks.  These are all ideas from the members themselves and they meet weekly after school to work on these things.

Over the year they will discuss things that are important to our pupils and work with the staff to implement improvements.
