PSHE

INTENT 

  • to develop the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to keep themselves healthy and safe, and prepared for life and the next stages of their education.
  • to enable them to handle their emotions with growing maturity and show a deeper understanding of others,
  • to participate in discussions and experiences about their immediate community and progressively the wider world with tolerance and understanding especially when opinions differ from their own,
  •  to understand how to keep themselves safe, online, in the community and in relationships.

IMPACT 

In doing so they learn to recognise their own worth, helping them know and value who they really are and how they relate to other people in this ever-changing world and become increasingly responsible for their own learning. They reflect on their experiences and understand how they are developing personally and socially, tackling many of the spiritual, moral, social and cultural issues that are part of growing up.
