PSHE

INTENT At CCPS, our intent for PSHE is that all pupils are inspired to play an active role within school and the wider community by having a responsible attitude towards others and the environment. We will equip pupils to respect and celebrate difference between people and communities. We will provide them with knowledge and understanding to become independent, confident, informed, active, and reflective citizens. We aim for pupils to be curious about the world around them, and we will equip them with understanding, knowledge, and skills that they will need in the real world to make safe and new meaningful relationships. Pupils will build resilience when reflecting on pervious learning, building on their ideas and beliefs and challenges that may face regarding their views.

In doing so they learn to recognise their own worth, helping them know and value who they really are and how they relate to other people in this ever-changing world and become increasingly responsible for their own learning. They reflect on their experiences and understand how they are developing personally and socially, tackling many of the spiritual, moral, social and cultural issues that are part of growing up.
